A New Environmental Priority

The Knowaste recycling process enables local authorities and healthcare and day care providers to face up to the challenges of ever tougher environmental legislation and increasing costs of sending waste to landfill.

The challenge of how to dispose of municipal solid waste exists throughout the world. Rising populations and an overwhelming consumer desire for more products are placing great pressures on our natural resources. The most common methods of trash disposal, land filling, incineration or composting, pose many environmental concerns and simply can't handle the massive streams of trash generated by our world population. Our highways, oceans, streams, parks and open space are littered with the remnants of our convenience-based society.

Recycling has achieved unprecedented international focus as we grapple with the ecological footprint left by more than 6 billion people on this planet and experience a rising global environmental consciousness. Cities and urban centers across the globe are implementing and mandating new programs to reduce the amount of trash sent to landfills or incinerators and recover materials for recycling. Successes have been achieved in the traditional recycling of glass, plastic, aluminium and paper, further encouraging the development of new zero waste policies in many communities.

Diapers, adult incontinece and feminine hygiene products (AHPs) have been found to be 4% to 8% of the waste stream - depending on the community.  The time is now to address this growing waste stream.  The time is now for Knowaste.
