Knowaste Midlands, UKThe Black Country is home to Knowaste Midlands Ltd, the UK’s first-ever facility for recycling nappies/diapers, feminine hygiene and adult incontinence products, operated by General Manager, Dave Jelley, and officially opened by the Chairman of the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), Stewart Towe CBE with Knowaste CEO, Roy Brown, in Sept 2011. Knowaste Midlands Ltd is a subsiduary of Knowaste Ltd.
Knowaste in the Midlands enjoys convenient motorway access and is located in Giffords Way, Off Kelvin Way, West Bromwich B70 7JR.
Permitted Wastes.As a specialist facility for recycling absortbent hygiene products (AHPs), the plant is permitted to receive all associated wastes, the bulk of which are EWC 18 01 04 and 20 01 99. For Knowaste's more comprehensive Environment Agency permit,
